1. Christmas
thought every christmas song would make me retch, but this one was great. it is an audio rendition of that gray cloud that moves across the header of the free sound collective website. spans many musical genres, flowing between them seamlessly: space music, dark ambient, experimental, industrial, spoken word.

2. Again, Contempt, Deicide, Final, Forward, Into, Momument, Outbound, Revelation, Reverse
minimalist tracks. nothing much for me to say here.

3. Tha Grinch
Whoa! change of pace here! Even some rhythm for awhile. Nice noise track - but with flavor and changeups.

1. Tidepool
Sounds like the opener to a Stephen King movie. Reminiscent of Alio Die to an extent. I had images of a dark night, cold ocean. It moves from foreboding goth to soothing ambient to an abrupt end.

2. Undertow
Original muddy bass percussion and reverbed synth make this track listenable.

3. Currents
Something like a tympani drum rolling and looping behind what sounds like Herman Munster on synth. More unique synthetic soundscapes to explore here. The track cleverly builds

1. Current Affair
ouch! this electricity-like sound bothered my ears.

2. Tremelo
I am not exactly staggered by this track.

3. Crazed
Nothing too wild about this. Light drone music. Reminiscent of the Florianz Zurich Airport piece recently posted.

4. Horizon
I could imagine hearing this on drone zone or bluemars.

5. Closure
A nice way to bring closure to my day at work :) Why did 8 seconds of music take 1 meg? Ah, it didn't the website rounds up, and generously.

I'm looking forward to listening to the other albums tomorrow.

1. form
not bad. a single sound form modulated over the length of a track

2. eclipse
this is almost getting into commercial instrumental stuff. Peter Gabriel might do a track like this. I quit listening to Hearts of Space and that other show by a named forest because they were losing it. This track reminds of the type that sent me and those radio shows in opposite direections.

It's not nearly as bad any of that stuff, but it's in a very different vein from everything else I have heard so far from the FSC.

3. out
now this one is taking us back out into underground experimental ambient land.

i like this track. this is another one that is an audio reflection of that scrolling gray cloud on the frontpage.

1. Advil
This song is not ambient. It is instrumental drum machine stuff. I found that I needed some Advil after listening to it. Ouch.

2. Excedrin
Umm, yet another well-named track... unfortunately... my ears a throbbing.

3. Tylenol-3
Ok, I give. This is the musical equivalent of Befunge. Or brainfuck. This is your attempt to see how well you can poorly do music. All of the previous work on this website has been above average to quite good. These 3 are completely the opposite IMHO.
